by

Welcome NASCAR race fans to my NASCAR blog. To start the second half of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season, they are racing in the Lenox Industrial Tools 301 at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Louden, NH. Practice was held at the Track on Friday for the Sprint Cup drivers as well as the NASCAR Nationwide drivers. 33 Clint Bowyer was fastest in Sprint Cup practice, while 32 Reed Sorenson was fastest of the Nationwide drivers.

Coors Light Pole Qualifying took place Friday afternoon for the Sprint Cup drivers, with the slowest in practice, 92 Dennis Setzer coming out first and Bowyer coming out last. 46 drivers entered for 43 spots. 39 Ryan Newman set a new track record for the pole position with a speed of 135.232 mph and 28.165 seconds around this 1.058 mile track. Team mate 14 Tony Stewart will start the Lenox Industrial Tools 301 from the front row with Ryan. 37 Tony Raines, 81 Scott Riggs and 92 Dennis Setzer failed to make the race. Ryan’s first win came on this track, also from the pole position. let’s see if he can do it again, with a new track record.

The NASCAR Nationwide Series will qualify and race in the New England 200 on Saturday. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will be racing the Coca-Cola 200 Presented by Hy-Vee at the Iowa Speedway Saturday night.
