Weekly Race Review

10 is Patrick Carpentier. This is his first start this year. He missed the previous two races. 27 today is Mike Skinner. He’s a truck driver for Bill Davis Racing, and since Jacques Villeneuve didn’t get into the first two races, and Mike is a good qualifier, he’s taking over the 27 car for awhile. 49 is Ken Schrader. Everyone qualified on time, so there was no need for a past Champion provisional. The eight drivers and cars who made it into the race are: 27, 10, 49, 55 Michael Waltrip, 83 Brian Vickers, 44 Dale Jarrett, 00 David Reutimann and 2 Kurt Busch. 07 Clint Bowyer and 9 Kasey Kahne changed engines, and so will go to the rear. So, here we go.
18 Kyle Busch takes off from the pole to lead. 00 gets into the wall. 10 saves it from the wall. 00 gets Black Flagged so he will have to go to the pits before he causes a debris caution. No caution. 20 Tony Stewart leads. 2 Kurt Busch gets penalized for speeding. 16 is too fast. 77 goes to the garage. 17 Matt Kenseth is leading. 88 Dale Earnhardt takes the lead. 7 Robby  Gordon leads when 88 pits. After all the Green Flag pitting, 99 is back into the lead.

18 and 17 battle for the lead. 17 takes the lead.18 almost into the wall. 2 Kurt Busch, 11 Denny Hamlin and 9 battle for the Lucky Dog position. 48 Jimmy Johnson is trying to win his fourth in a row here, but sits thirty-eighth.
